 and I love you!

Finally!!!!

Spring has come to Minnesota!!!
Finally!!
(It is about time!!!)

Today I will be outside planting!

And hanging out wash....
at least if my dryer has 'kicked the bucket', it happened while the sun is shining!

Unfortunately one line and 3 drying racks isn't sufficient for the mountain of laundry that is waiting.
I am NOT complaining.
I am thankful we have enough clothes to get by.  :)

Hurricane Relief

The quilter's group from our church made a quilt.
It was sold as a silent auction.
All of the money is going for Hurricane Relief in Japan.

A very talented quilter, Lois Rogness, sewed the quilt.
The church quilters HAND STITCHED the whole quilt.

It looks great folded in half on the back of my sofa.
How could I pass up an awesome quilt and a worthy cause.

The Time Has Come

I don't mind when he does this...
because obviously the dog doesn't.

I don't even mind when he does this....
 I scrub the floor frequently.

But when he thinks he is going to share the dog's pillow....
the time has definitely come to buy a new one!!!

We just can't keep our dog out of the lake....
or from rolling in anything dead she finds...
or from eating socks....
this is why she is confined to one area of our house!
She has recovered from her glove removal surgery last month....we hope to never go through that again!

She is going to love her new pillow....
but so will Friendie.....
oh well....I guess a boy needs his dog....
and a dog needs his boy.

When we do things a certain way, the way we have done them in the past, the way others before us have done them, something deep in our spirit is comforted.

Evidence

Someone was playing in the front flower bed....

and he left the evidence behind!
I love it!

Restless

Although the wind fed us dust...
and the rain clouds are moving in...
it felt good to get outside for a while today.

The natives were getting restless!

Bloomin Weather

Yesterday was an outdoor day!!!
Today is not.
Tomorrow doesn't look so promising either.
Will my poor Spring Tulips ever bloom???
I cut some and brought them inside...
because even without the heat working in our living room...
it is still nicer inside than outside...
pretty sad if you ask me.

Befriending Bloggers

It is interesting how following along in the life of someone you have never even met can give such feelings of 'friendship'.
How they can introduce you to their family and their home and you feel like you have been there for a warm and friendly visit.

Please take a moment and meet Sherry and her family.

But there are times when along with the "warm" and the "good" visits, there are times of utter heartache.  And although you may have never met your blog friends, it doesn't keep your heart from breaking for all they have to endure.

Please go to my side bar and read the last two entries that Robin has posted on her blog.

I am waiting on a mailing address from Robin since I don't know if Sherry will continue with her blog or not.

I share this with you so you can join in praying for Sherry and her 13 children.

This Morning I Screamed

This morning I screamed.
Loudly.
Not in fear.
Not in anger.
I screamed in disgust.

Last night my husband told me there was a chance the rain would turn to snow.
I told him he would know if it did, because he would hear me scream.

This morning I screamed.
Loudly.
Not once.
Not twice.
Not three times.
I screamed four times.

My husband told me that was a lovely way to wake up (sarcastically).
I told him he had been warned.

This morning I screamed.
Loudly.
Then I put on my long underwear.
And I put on my wool socks.
And I went to church.

Happy May Day.
