I am a great-aunt.
That sounds so old.
My third great-niece is overdue.
Her little quilt is waiting.
We are eager to have a baby to snuggle again.
My first great-niece is turning 6!
She was in town this weekend.
Her gift wasn't blog worthy.
I got her what her parents wouldn't 'waste' their money on.
(Justin Bieber requests were granted)
You do those kind of things when you want to be a "Great Aunt".
We used the remaining chocolate wedding cupcakes from the freezer for her celebration.
I wasn't sure if they would still be moist so I made a coconut almond frosting for them (that way the frosting would make up for the cake).
I was pleasantly surprised to find the cupcakes were still as yummy as they were 3 weeks ago considering they were re-frozen.

I am a "Great Aunt" too...how did that happen? I love the quilt....and the cupcakes look so delish! I just signed up as your newest "follower". Thanks so much for visiting my blog too!
...By the way...I have 26 year old fraternal twin daughters...also a son and 2 other daughters! They were my 2nd and 3rd children! I LOVED having twins!
I'm sure the 6yo thinks you are a "great" Aunt!!
