Needlework magazines and transfer patterns, that proliferated around the turn of the century, produced easy-to-follow outline designs that quickly became popular. Perfect projects for the novice, these patterns began as line drawings and were traditionally worked in red cotton floss and referred to as "redwork". The advantage of collecting redwork, be it new or antique, is that all pieces invaribly compliment each other.
I am offering this sweet pattern from Lakadaisies titled
Darn'n.
Now friends, I am not giving away the finished product, but I am giving you the opportunity to create your own special heirloom or gift.
If you have never done any needlework, don't worry....you only need to use a simple backstitch to create this adorable little girl.
I am including all the supplies you will need. Including enough Moda fabric and floss to finish two projects (just incase you want to make one for yourself and one for a friend).
There will also be an added surprise included for the name randomly drawn. If I show you what it is, it wouldn't be a surprise. :)
Tuesday is the day I turn another year older.....and I am now only 4 blog posts away from my 100th post.....so.....
from now until I post the 100th post (which will be this week)......if you would like to be included in the drawing.....
just leave a comment.....and tell me if you are Older than 46 or Younger.....just for the fun of it! :)
