For Mother's Day I received a gift card and a note good for "labor" on a gardening project from my family.
I was pretty excited about building a container garden in the back yard.
The nice weather turned bad....our building project got under way (more on that later)....and I found out I would need to have surgery.
Huge damper.
I mentioned to my husband that maybe I would use the gift card for some paint for the kitchen and the small gathering area off the kitchen.
I planned on painting before I left for the hospital.
I had no energy.....it didn't happen.
It was all I could do to decide on the color.....Sherwin William's Bee's Wax.
While I was hanging out in the hospital for 4 1/2 days, my husband and family were painting my rooms!!!!
What a cheerful change.....so much fun to come home to!!!
The picture I just took doesn't show the true buttery yellow color, but believe me....it is lovely!
I have been on restrictions, so I haven't even had the opportunity to put the kitchen back in order yet. It will be fun to do a little re-arranging when we return from our little mini vacation. It has been a rough 2 weeks....now I am ready for a little fun!

What a nice surprise! Great color, too. Take it easy, Sheila, and enjoy your mini-vacation. You've certainly earned it! Hugs.
How nice of your family to come together and do that for you Sheila! Continue to take it easy , but try to have a little fun on that vacation! I know after all of this, you must be looking forward to it!!
How sweet to have the painting done for you!!!
